ThinkPermit Holiday Tree - 12/8/08
We at Oregon City try and use every opportunity to work in public outreach into our program. As a result we have put up a Think Permit/Building Dept Christmas (Holiday, if your prefer) Tree.
We used Think Permit pencils and Think Permit magnets as ornaments as well as the Think Permit Hardhat on the top. The remainder of the decorations include little miniature Building, Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical permit applications and little miniature roles of plans, as well as an assortment of construction related material we bought from the local Home Depot store. We used electrical outlet boxes and receptacles and switch plates, assorted plumbing fittings, Simpson truss clips, roles of electrical and Teflon tape, a furnace flue collar, some small inexpensive tools for the remainder of the ornaments.
The whole project turned out to be great fun for the whole department.
